In The Name of Allah, The Most Beneficent, The Infinitely Merciful

As-salaamu’alkium my dear students of knowledge,

I would first like to apologize for the lack of communication from my end. The reason for this is that I have been studying, learning, and struggling as much as I can so I can bring you the jewels of Islam that I have discovered through my seeking of knowledge about our Creator. My aim is not to hoard this knowledge for myself, but to share it with others so that we all can be educated and grateful for the innumerable amounts of blessings provided by our Master, Lord, and Provider.

Alhumdulliah! With the grace of Allah, I have been able to completely reorganize the information on this website in a way that is more readable, clear, and concise. The Knowledge page has been broken down into smaller components that can be accessed individually, depending on the type of knowledge you are seeking. I will give you a quick rundown of all the new pages in hope that any and all information that I collect will help you on your spiritual journey to knowing Allah:

Knowledge – contains all categories of information from different organizations that I have been able to learn from. If you are in search of the main content on this website, please refer to this page.

Bayyinah TV – all my notes for lectures by Nouman Ali Khan through his wonderful organization, Bayyinah Institute, such as Al-Fatihah, Divine Speech, Thematic Overview, Arabic with Husna, A Concise Commentary, and many more coming.

Books (NEW) – this page contains all the books that I have read that have really stood out to me. I truly recommend you purchase all of them for your collection and refer back to them often. Please use “” to support a charity (Islamic Relief USA) when purchasing a book as well!

DeenStream (NEW)a collection of amazing lectures brought to you by the eminent and prominent scholar, Shaikh Hamza Yusuf. All my notes regarding this organization will be posted in this section.

Duas/Supplications – a list of supplications that I use on a daily basis that have completely transformed my life. Besides, it is an excellent way to follow our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him).

Khutbahs/Sermons – a list of all videos and their corresponding notes to speeches delivered during Friday prayers

Meaningful Prayer – notes for a class taught by Shaikh Abdul Nasir Jangda about everything you need to know about the beautiful prayers in Islam. It will make you want to pray five times a day, and you will finally be able to understand what you’re saying.

Videos (NEW) – a list of all videos that I watch in my daily time to reinvigorate me about why I am doing all this in the first place. Trust me, you will want to see all of them. Any video that has really inspired me will be posted on this page for your convenience. They are all from  YouTube!

Weekly Hadiths (NEW) – a list of all past hadiths that ‘Merican Muslim has used in the past for its “Hadith of the Week” widget on the left side of the website. For our non-Muslim brothers and sisters, they are the wise sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) that one can learn immensely from.

Insh’Allah (God Willing) my aim was to make it a lot easier for anyone who visits this website to dive right into learning everything about Islam. The whole point I took notes for the majority of these resources is because Allah has commanded me to counsel others to the truth in Surah tul Asr. I want everyone to know about Allah (The Truth), and it will give me the greatest pleasure knowing that people are benefiting themselves and others for the life to come.

I will continue adding new content, notes, and many more resources until I cease to exist in this world and that is a promise I have made to Allah. Whether anyone uses this website or not is their decision, but my decision is and will always be to please Allah.

Remember, if this has helped you out at all, all I ask is that you share it with others. We have a responsibility to Allah to make sure that both Muslims and non-Muslims know the true reality of this world. If we fail to do that, then we have failed Allah and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as his ummah (community).

With love for all of humanity,

Saad Naveed

Welcome to ‘Merican Muslim!

Alhumdulliah (All Praise and Thanks be to God), we’re proud to present a medium for all Muslims that are currently living in the United States to be able to effectively communicate with each other. Not only will we be a resource for Islamic knowledge and opinions, but we will be an open forum to anyone who wishes to participate in discourse.

Although we’re mainly geared towards Muslims, we welcome people from all walks of life. It doesn’t matter if you’re brown, white, green, yellow, or orange. The only requirement is that you’re a human being. Sorry, no cats allowed.

The only rule that we have on this website is respect. As long as there is respect, we can accomplish great things together.

As we have just launched, we want members and guests to provide us with feedback, so that we can improve this website daily. We want this community to be tightly knit, and we can only do that with your help.

Thank you for taking the time to visit!

Best Regards,

Salaam, Everyone!

You can now access the Knowledge page, which contains notes from khutbahs (sermons), Bayyinah TV, Dua’s, and I’ve also added a comprehensive notes sheet about the main points that I’ve learned so far about Islam. These are all my personal notes, so there may be spelling mistakes here and there as I did not have the time to go back and revise them. If you need me to clarify any of my notes, please do not hesitate to ask me!

I will be continuously updating that page with more material daily, and I’ll make sure to link the corresponding videos and materials.

I hope these are able to help anyone who wants to learn the deeper meanings of the Qur’an and Islam in general.

I’ve been meaning to start a new course called Meaningful Prayer (, and I finally was able to get the chance to purchase it, alhumdulliah.

I will be adding any notes I take for it on the knowledge page, so I definitely recommend you check out the course and use the notes as review.

Thank you,
